The NFL’s Dallas Cowboys will be officially licensed as a New Jersey franchise in 2020.
According to a release from the NFLPA, the Cowboys franchise will begin the 2019 season in Dallas and move to New Jersey in 2021.
That move will be announced at a later date.
In a statement, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the franchise is excited to begin playing in Dallas in 2019 and said he will continue to support the team through the long-term future.
The Cowboys will become the second franchise in NFL history to receive a new jersey, following the Buffalo Bills in 2013.
The Bills are now the NFL’s largest NFL franchise with a franchise worth $3.5 billion.
The New York Jets, who played in Dallas for the first time last season, have also become an NFL franchise.
