The Lakers have a 21-11 record in their past 30 games.
The Lakers (12-24) were held to 40.8 percent shooting in the first half, which ranked 29th in the league.
Los Angeles also struggled to shoot within three feet of the basket, giving up 21 free throws and 10 of its first 11 turnovers.
The Rockets (11-29) shot 52.5 percent in the second half and held the Lakers to 27.3 percent shooting.
Los Angeles also shot just 27.1 percent in its first quarter.
The Clippers (13-24), who have won five of their last seven games, were held without a field goal in the fourth quarter, allowing Houston to tie the score at 104-104 on a dunk by Blake Griffin with 3:30 remaining.
The loss was Los Angeles’ 10th straight defeat by a team other than the San Antonio Spurs, who are tied with Cleveland for the NBA’s worst record at 10-20.
The Pelicans have lost four straight.
