More than 1,500 Nike jerseys from Canada’s largest sports brand, the New York Knicks, have been selling for as little as $2.50, according to the company’s online store.
That’s less than half of the $4.99 price tag for a LeBron James jersey, the cheapest available for sale on the online store, according a Nike spokesman.
The Knicks, which are ranked No. 4 in the NBA, have had a busy offseason in recent weeks.
They signed star forward Carmelo Anthony, traded for guard Derrick Rose and signed free agent forward Chris Bosh.
They also signed free-agent guard Anthony Bennett and waived guard Jason Thompson.
A new Nike jersey, featuring a design by the fashion company, will be available for purchase on the company website on Monday, April 18.
Nike said the Nike Jordan 1 will retail for $100.
