I’ve already written a whole lot about this Giants/Royals game, but I’m going to give a brief explanation for why it’s worth getting excited about.
It’s the second game in a three-game series that both teams are currently holding.
The Royals won Game 1, so they’re a lock to win this series, right?
Well, it’s not exactly clear why they’re not.
They were able to take advantage of their home-field advantage in Game 2, so why didn’t they do the same in Game 3?
The Giants are 2-0 against their home team in the series, and I would say they’re on the right track if they continue to be the ones to score a lot of runs against them.
This isn’t to say the Royals have to win Game 3 to advance, but it’s also not a certainty.
If the Giants can beat the Royals on Sunday, they could advance to the World Series.
Of course, if the Royals lose Game 3, it would be a bit of a letdown for them, but if the Giants win Game 2 they could have a chance at tying the series.
So that’s why I love this series.
It’s also why I can’t wait to see the Royals play the Giants on Wednesday night in Kansas City.
You can watch the game on ESPN and stream the game through MLB.com or MLB Network, or you can watch it online via WatchESPN.
