The Bulls will not move the beach in Jersey Shore resorts, a source familiar with the situation told Fox Sports.
Sources familiar with talks said a deal has been in the works for several months, with the Bulls likely wanting to use the beach as a venue to play in a preseason exhibition game and showcase the brand.
The Bulls will still use the South Jersey beaches, however, as they would be a “big part” of the team’s preseason schedule, one source said.
Jersey Shore outlets have been struggling to make ends meet in recent years, as many of them have closed.
A source familiar in the process said that the Bulls have been “very careful” about not moving the beach, because the beach is such a major part of their identity.
The team’s other major summer destination is New York, and they also have a major basketball-themed event planned for June 23 at Madison Square Garden.
The deal is expected to be finalized in the next week.
